Beauty wishlist

My birthday is months away and Christmas is too long of a wait...so basically, I had better start saving my pennies...

Hello lovely people! I just thought I'd make a quick post to share my current beauty wants which are the reason that my bank card is having a bit of a rest (much needed)!

The first thing I really want to get my manicured mitts on is DEFINITELY the Urban Decay Vice palette. It's just soooooo preeeeetty *drools and gazes in awe at the pure beauty of this palette*. It just contains some of my favourite colours! And, whilst this palette contains some of the exciting, edgy colours that Urban Decay is know for (beauty with an edge) it also contains some more neutral shades so that the palette isn't too crazy and so you can create some more wearable everyday looks (for the less adventurous of us) but still with a pop of colour. There's such a perfect balance between neutral and brights which is just spot on.

Secondly, I really like the look of the Benefit Bad Gal Lash mascara. I've heard brilliant reviews about it and I am a self confessed mascara addict and lover of Benefit products. Plus, it just has a cool name and packaging..

One of the most affordable things products I'd like to try is the Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation. So many youtubers (Tanya Burr for example (love her channel, check it out and plus we have the same first name so woohoo!)) use this foundation and it just looks sensational on the skin! It does exactly what it says on the tin: it instantly wakes up the skin and gives you a lovely, healthy glow. I'll be sure to try it out myself and do a review to see if all the hype is indeed true!

And finally (for now at least), I kind of want to try the MAC Blacktrack fluid liner. However, I don't know how it'll compare to my usual Rimmel gel liner which is a fraction of the price of MAC! However, I can excuse the price if the product is worth it. So I think it's at least worth a try!

That'll be all for now. I hope you're all well and having a lovely morning/day/evening wherever you are in the world!
Until next time,

Who says "neutral" has to be boring?

Urban Decay Naked 2 palette review

Hello wonderful people of the internet !

After moping and (unsuccessfully) attempting to save up for months, my suuuuper duper boyfriend surprised me with the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette! And I absolutely LOVE it!

I've been experimenting with different looks using the palette and I can safely say that, surprisingly, this is a very versatile palette! I, like many people, thought "that must be boring, just a bunch of neutral shades". HOWEVER, you can easily go from a day look to a night look and transform your look from neutral and natural to edgy and exciting. And once again, Urban Decay takes something very ordinary and puts their own unique spin on it. Even though they're all neutral shades, most have a very striking shimmer/glitter in them and it gives a great range of Urban Decay's best neutral eyeshadows.

If, however, you are NOT a fan of shimmery eyeshadows, this palette is definitely not for you. This palette only contains 3 matte shades (blackout, tease and foxy).

My absolute favourite shade in the palette is Busted. It's such a unique shade: I've never seen anything like it! In the pan it looks purple but on the skin, it's almost a dark brown shade. It's very easy to create an edgy look with this eyeshadow - it can make the perfect Smokey eye!

I don't have a least favourite eyeshadow in this palette - to me, they all have their own unique properties and, depending on what you want, there's definitely a shade to create the kind of look you want!

Also, the palette comes with the Karma double-ended brush which is very high quality and does exactly what is expected of it! On a practical side, it's very easy to clean and means if you purchase the palette, you don't need to buy a separate brush for it!

The lip junkie lip gloss that comes with the palette has a really great texture (not too sticky) and is  a really interesting colour - it gives the lips a great sheen and a pop of colour. I love the packaging too!!

Now, I'm definitely trying to get my hands on some more urban decay products! I really want to try out the Naked palette to compare it with the Naked 2. Also, I want to try some of the eyeshadows that Urban Decay is famous for - some bright colours!
All in all, I am a huuuuge Urban Decay fan and, if I could have just one brand of cosmetics- I know which one I'd choose!! I salute you Urban Decay cosmetics! Keep up the good work!

Losing my blog virginity

So, as the title suggests, up until this very blog post, I was a blog newbie!
I suppose I had better introduce myself then -->
My name is Tanya, I'm 18 years old and I'm English (Yorkshire!!!) but I live in France. I'm ordinary but weird and a generally very positive person....buuuuut I'm seriously awful at explaining myself..but I suppose you're just going to gradually get to know me through my blog posts :)
I have a passion for cosmetics and would really like to share that :)
That'll be all I think.
Until next time,
Tanya xx
